Christmas

Lots of new happenings this Christmas! This was our first Christmas at our new place {obviously, a la` previous posts} so there were lots of new things to decorate and new places to put our trees. Each of the kids had their own tree again and they were able to decorate them anyway they wanted. This was fun for the girls to 'express' themselves and for Alistair, as this is all new to him :)

We opted for a fresh cut tree this year. It was a great experience. We wandered around the farm, had hot cocoa, hotdogs for snack and enjoyed a bonfire. The weather was perfect. I usually stress about everything and I was very surprised at how easy it was to just relax and enjoy the whole experience. The kids all say it was their favorite Christmas memory this year. 

Santa delivered an Elf on the Shelf to us in early December. We named her Jingle Bell and she was a ornery lil elf! Alistair was NOT impressed with her fascination with his toys, but she made him giggle. Ella had fun sending notes to Santa with her on her nightly visits to the North Pole. Kennedy tried to be the first to find her by getting up EXTRA early every morning...which I would say was the biggest downfall ;)

  All in all, we have the most enjoyable and stress free Christmas. Who would have thought? I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and you were able to enjoy time with your family and friends. I feel so blessed.
